I enjoy using the cyanotype process as a hybrid of photography and
printmaking. The works are based on the idea that most of my
generation's
ability to process war related images is created, mediated, and
censored by
the entertainment industry. Despite our often-touted societal,
technological, and industrial advancements, man's need to destroy is a
frustrating by-product of greed; a by-product that goes unnoticed by
the
media-saturated youth.
Justin Kasulka is a photographer/printmaker living in Milledgeville,
GA.
Currently he is the staff photographer for The Union-Recorder in
Milledgeville. He has his undergradute degree in studio art from
Georgia
College & State University with an emphasis in photography.
