Welcome to "Man and Beast", an exhibition of works on paper by Justin Kasulka, Lori Penn, and Danielle Wyckoff. All three of these artists explore what it is to be human in the 21st century. Kasulka looks at the way our beliefs are molded by our culture, especially our attitudes towards wealth and war. Penn helps us see humanity through images in which our closest primate relatives are the stars. Wyckoff's work reveals a more inward looking approach, studying the face as a means of looking past it to the inner person. All three of these artists ask us questions about who we are and what separates us, if anything, from the other beasts. Enjoy the exhibition!
